Introduction

A Warehouse Associate performs basic picking, packing, labeling, kitting, binning, loading, and unloading activities in a warehouse. The individual operates manual or battery-operated pallet trucks, engages in inventory counts, and maintains a clean work area.


Personal Attributes

The job holder should be physically and medically fit to undertake warehouse operations, which include long hours of active material movement. The individual should be observant, diligent, and have basic mathematical ability. Effective communication in the vernacular language is essential.

Key Responsibilities

    • Perform vehicle inspection and seal breaking.
    • Unload goods and move them to the staging area.
    • Conduct quality checks as per standards and prepare for put-away.
  2. Traditional/Manual Put-away & Picking (LSC/N0134)
    • Conduct put-away activities using manual methods.
    • Perform picking activities as per instructions.
    • Report discrepancies and ensure the use of appropriate tools and PPE.
  3. GTP/AGV/Light/Voice Assisted Put-away & Picking (LSC/N0135)
    • Use GTP/AGV/light/voice-assisted systems for put-away and picking.
    • Ensure safe operation of MHE and compliance with instructions.
  4. Order Verification and Loading (Dispatch) Activities (LSC/N0136)
    • Verify orders against tally sheets.
    • Perform loading activities and ensure proper sealing of vehicle doors.
