SOLVEAT’s Innovative Approach: Lowering Diabetes Risk with Functional Foods

Would you believe us if we told you that eating chocolate can lower your risk of developing diabetes? In fact, there is one. And thanks to Udi Sir, I had a lot of them.

While representing HyphenSCS at MassChallenge Israel, it was a pleasure for Arun Pandit to speak with Udi Peretz, co-founder of SOLVEAT, and discover more about his startup that seems too good to be true!

SOLVEAT creates functional foods, which are enriched with active components derived from medicinal plants and are intended to treat and prevent disease.

They are initially concentrating on pre-diabetic products that lower blood sugar. They have created a special formula that incorporates active ingredients into food without sacrificing flavor. They created chocolate that had been enhanced with medicinal herbs and tested it on 12 pre-diabetic volunteers.

The results showed a significant decrease in blood sugar levels of up to 31%. Leading Western and Chinese scientists, doctors, and managers in operations, biotechnology, and business development make up their team. To support further research and clinical validation, they are currently raising money.
